Dermatological treatment with Ozone Therapy PSH

Efficacy study of the Ozone range of PSH on pyodermas and canine atopic dermatitis (CAD).
Canine atopic dermatitis (CAD) is a genetically predisposed, inflammatory and pruritic disease with characteristic clinical manifestations, with a prevalence in canines of 15-20%.
It is common to observe localized lesions at the interdigital level, auricular (especially on the concave side of the pinna and in the vertical canal of the external auditory canal), abdomen, in the axillae, perineum, facial region (periocular, labial, skin folds) as well as generalized involvement, with involvement of several or all of the aforementioned areas; an individualized manifestation is also common for each breed, with specific extension patterns.
Other types of lesions such as abrasions, lichenification and hyperpigmentation (chronic presentation) may also be seen. The appearance of a superficial or secondary bacterial surface pyoderma and the presence of a Malassezia spp dermatitis are common situations.
Both superficial and surface pyodermas usually appear as secondary complications to the underlying CDD, and in some way are due to alterations in the cutaneous barrier of the skin, a fundamental aspect in the understanding of the pathogenesis of Canine Atopic Dermatitis.
The most frequent bacterial population is Staphylococcus pseudointermedius spp, with the presence of erythema, crusts, and in complicated forms purulent secretions.
These lesions are usually concentrated in the areas of the skin folds such as the axillae, groin and ventral side of the neck, producing intertrigo or pyodermas of the skin folds.
Success in the management of these pathologies, after proper diagnosis, lies in the combination of treatment and control strategies.

EFFICACY STUDY
Target
Measure decrease of lesions, mainly due to pyoderma and CAD, treated only with PSH's Ozone line of Champutherapy.
Methodology
Topical treatment by champutherapy + foam protocol in 15 cases with pyoderma or DAC lesions, until clinical cure or fourth veterinary visit (45 days), by protocol and negative review cytology.
- N=15 dogs
- Measurement in CADESI-4
OZONE PSH TREATMENT PROTOCOL
Champutherapy
Ozone Soft and Hard Shampoo
Apply the shampoo (Soft in mild problems, Hard in severe ones) with a massage all over the area to be treated, and remove the product.
Ozone SWEET Conditioner
Apply Sweet conditioner after shampooing. After shampooing, we recommend that the hair is dry and free of humidity.
Every 2 or 3 days in cases of outbreak, once it shows improvement, the time between washes is spaced out.
RESULTS
A decrease of 87% of lesions was observed on average in CADESI-4 at the fourth veterinary specialist visit (45 DAYS).
In half of the patients, symptoms remitted completely.
